From about 1978 through 1990 Charlie also participated in a group called Bright Morning Star, with them releasing several albums. The other members included George Fulginiti-Shakar and Marcia Taylor, both who participated in the WTR project. I think their 1984 LP (above) has an especially nice tie-in to my WTR show, as George sings lead on Charlie Murphy's song "Gay Spirit."

The band recently had a reunion tour in 2007, with all of them participating, which netted the new pic. Bright Morning Star is (left to right) Ken Giles, Marcia Taylor, Charlie King, Court Dorsey, Laura Kolb, and George Fultiniti-Shakar
